The spectrum of tuberculosis in BCG-vaccinated and unvaccinated children

Introduction: Tuberculosis remains a very important communicable disease in many parts of the world and major health problem developing countries. The international controversy surrounding use effectiveness Bacillus Calmette-Guérin vaccine. aim study is to evaluate spectrum tuberculosis among vaccinated non-vaccinated children’s. Method: A retrospective depending on data from flow sheet each patient which include: age, sex, weight, residence, date diagnosis, vaccination status ,the presence scar or not, intra extra familial contact, pattern (pulmonary pulmonary), investigations associated risk factors. Results: 74 (46.8%) patients were males 84 (53.2%) females, they divided into 2 groups: - group 1 those equal less than 5 years old who 70 (44.3%) patients, more year 88 (55.7%) patients. BCG 124 (78.5%),9 (7.3%) them not developed scar. Distribution total 158 TB according as following: 2007 46 (29.1%) 2008 51 (32.3%) 2009 61 (38.6%) 60 (38%) Hashimiyah 43 (27.2%)
